rebel angels

okay, so, here is my newest manipulation! a rough copy of my summer-reading project for high school: a CD cover. yeah, it doesn't look very CD like but at this point, i don't really care as long as i can slap some songs together in time. as you might've guessed from the title, my original book from the reading list was A Great and Terrible Beauty by libba bray. i thought it was a very decent book and decided in the end to pick up the sequel, Rebel Angels, as my free choice. let me tell you, if the first book doesn't do it for ya', the second one will! i very much enjoyed it and would recommend it to anyone who likes this sorta fantasy stuff.

moving on, this is probably the most challenging manipulation i've done in PS, (i usually cheat and find pictures of people that are all from the same photoshoot and blend them). i don't love it, but i don't hate it, either. i got extreeeemely lazy when it came to using the gradient tool to get rid of the model's original background, and decided to use an absurd amount of inner and outer glow to cover up what i don't feel like getting, (and even then you can still see some of the blue OTL). the garden picture had some glow added into it too, as it is supposed to be the all mystical part of "The Realms". in the book it says its always sunset there but i have no clue on how to change lighting that much. xD: the butterflies and sparkle trails are also sorta kinda taken from the books, but morphed.

eh, as i said, not terrible but not fantabulous either. any constructive criticism is welcomed, (i could certainly use it; i'm still extremely noobish when it comes to PS as a program)! and now, my thanks to all the stock images and artists!
